Deep Blue C385

Chinese Changan will start selling the new C385 model under its sub-brand Deep Blue this year.

The C385 was presented in August last year in the form of a concept vehicle, and it is a liftback that will be offered in three versions: as a plug-in hybrid, a fully electric model and in a variant with hydrogen drive.

The C385 is built on the Changan EPA1 platform, is 4820 mm long, 1890 mm wide, 1480 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2900 mm.

The plug-in hybrid version combines an electric motor with 160 kW / 217 hp and a petrol engine (data on it have not been announced), as well as 30 kWh batteries, while the autonomy in electric mode is 200 km (total autonomy is up to 1200 km).

The all-electric variant will be offered with two power levels, 160 kW / 217 hp and 190 kW / 258 hp, respectively, with a range of 515 km and 712 km.

As for the hydrogen-powered versions, for now it is only known that they will have an electric motor with 190 kW / 258 hp and a range of 700 km.

Among other things, the equipment will include a 14.6-inch multimedia tablet, as well as an autonomous driving system.

Sales of the C385 in China are set to begin in the third quarter of this year, at these preliminary prices: electric versions from $ 24,850 to $ 32,000, a hybrid version from $ 22,760 and a hydrogen model from $ 35,720.
